Volunteer Opportunities

We offer a wide variety of volunteer opportunities for students interested in the medical field. Because our clinic is open on Saturdays, we can accommodate volunteers who take classes during the week. In the past, we have hosted undergraduate student volunteers, graduate student volunteers, and high school volunteers.

Program details

We aim to provide a productive learning experience for students to inspire and nurture medical professionals of the future. Because we hope to tailor your experience to your interests and goals, our program varies from student to student. Some past volunteer experiences included taking patient histories, assisting in medical procedures, checking in patients, interfacing with insurance, pharmacies, and primary care providers, and taking part in clinical research projects. No matter what the specific role, all volunteers get a hands-on experience in our fast-paced clinic, mentorship from Dr. Leung, and face-to-face patient experience.

Applicant criteria

Our volunteer program is highly competitive, but we are always open to accepting talented individuals of any educational background. We look for individuals who are of good academic standing and are passionate about the medical field.
