Biography
Dr. Pranav Oza is a board‑certified internal medicine physician and physician–scientist who provides comprehensive primary care with a strong focus on personalized, evidence‑based preventive medicine. He works closely with each patient to understand their medical history, lifestyle, goals, and risk factors, and then develops an individualized plan to prevent disease, optimize health, and address concerns promptly when they arise.
Dr. Oza completed both his PhD in Biomedical Sciences and his internal medicine residency at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. His doctoral research focused on how cells detect and repair DNA damage at the chromatin level, and his work has been published in respected peer‑reviewed journals. In this role, he teaches medical students the fundamentals of patient interviewing, physical examination, and clinical reasoning. His experience as an educator reinforces his commitment to clear communication and shared decision‑making, and patients appreciate the time he takes to explain test results, treatment options, and the reasoning behind his recommendations.
Dr. Oza has extensive experience in team‑based, value‑oriented primary care, including the use of telehealth, remote patient monitoring, and advanced electronic health record tools to improve access, safety, and continuity. He is particularly interested in cutting‑edge preventive strategies for cardiometabolic health, cancer screening, and healthy aging, and he strives to integrate the latest research findings into everyday practice in a practical and patient‑friendly way.
